Abstract
This dissertation consists of three self-contained essays. Although each essay tackles a distinct question, a common theme of this thesis is to use quasi-experimental methods and administrative data to contribute to the understanding of a set of policy-relevant questions in environmental and energy economics. The first and the second chapter of this dissertation study social and economic impacts of climate change. While the first chapter focuses on the impact on workplace health and safety, the second chapter looks at the consequences for mental health. The third chapter studies peer effects in household energy behaviors and their implications for the evaluation of renewable energy subsidies.
