Abstract
This thesis builds up on Draisma's paper on Topological Noetherianity of Polynomial Functors and develops the theory of polynomial functors in three different directions. We prove functorial analogues of Buchberger's algorithm, finding equations of images of polynomial maps, and of Chevalley's Theorem on constructible sets. Finally, we extend Draisma's result, which only had been proven over infinite fields, to finite fields.
